Pet Sitting Services Available

For Your Pet:

• Lots of TLC and kisses
• Morning, Mid-day and Evening visits
• Feed pets and provide fresh water each visit
• Dog walks and yard exercise
• Play and socialize with your pet(s)
• Scoop litter box/boxes on a daily basis and change as needed
• Administer medications, including insulin
• Check for any medical problems or changes and consult with your vet as needed

For Your Home:

• Pick up mail and paper
• Take trash can/recycle bin to curb
• Water plants indoor and out (up to 10 plants free) minimal charge for additional plants
• Check the security of your home
• Adjust lights and window blinds
• Fill bird feeders

If additional services are needed there may be additional charges.

Getting Started or New Client

Make an appointment for a preliminary meeting. At this time you will meet your pet sitter, discuss your pet care needs and discuss your service contract and emergency vet form. In preparation of your appointment have all emergency contact names, addresses and phone numbers ready for your pet sitter. For example, your veterinarian, someone with an extra key and someone that can make a decision about the animals in the event that your pet sitter can not reach you. Also, at this time have 2 keys ready for your sitter (one for your sitter and one for the office).

Vaccinations

All animals over twelve weeks of age are required to have their rabies vaccination. Please have your pet's rabies certificate available at the initial interview.

All animal bites will be reported to the appropriate animal control agency as required by law. We DO NOT pet sit for vicious pets and if your pet is vicious upon arrival or becomes vicious during your absence, you will be notified and other arrangements will have to be made.

Please be sure your animals are current with all of their vaccinations for the wellness of their general health. Also please let us know of any health concerns that your pet may currently have.

Rates and Extra Charges

Approximate rate for the particular services you will require will be quoted during your initial phone conversation with our office. The rate varies between $15 - $16 per visit for one pet and $1 for each additional pet(s). There is a $2 per pet charge to administer insulin. We water up to 10 plants free and each additional plant is $0.25. Yard cleanup is charged by the size of the yard and number of pets. Barn cleanup is charged by the number of horses & stalls. The rate will be finalized during the initial interview and will be based on the number of pets you have and the amount of work that will be required, therefore additional charges may be applicable.

Holiday Rates

We charge a $10 surcharge for visits made during the holiday weeks of Easter/Spring Break, Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day beginning Friday prior to the holiday and ending the following Sunday. The surcharge will apply for visits made on Wednesday through Sunday of the Thanksgiving weekend, December 24th through December 30th and December 31st through January 2nd.

On Mother's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day we will make a.m. and p.m. visits only. This allows for our sitters to spend these special days with their family.

Payment for Services

Payments should be left for the full amount on the counter/table each time services are used. Payments should be made payable to LLPS. There will be a $25 handling charge, in addition to any charges presented by the bank, for checks returned for any reason.

Gratuities

The staff of LLPS strives to give you and your pet(s) the absolute best service. Tips are accepted and greatly appreciated by your pet sitter.

Reservations

Please try to make all reservations for weekend pet care with the office by Wednesday of the week that you will need pet sitting service. Please do not call your pet sitter at his/her home - all calls must be handled by the office.

Please try to give at least 10 days notice if you need pet care during any major holiday. Clients booking reservations at the last minute may not be able to acquire a reservation, or the sitter may not be able to give your pets as much attention or time as you would prefer.

If we receive a reservation for the same day as the requested visit or a reservation after 7:00 pm for the next day service, there will be a $5.00 late reservation or "same day" fee.

Time

A specific time of arrival is not guaranteed. Your pet sitter will ask what your preferred time is; however, we cannot guarantee a specific time of arrival to your home. We allow a one hour interval of time for arriving to each client's home. This constraint is in place to allow for the care of unavoidable circumstances that may arise at another client's home and/or difficulty in travel.

Job Sharing with Family/Friends

If someone else will be coming into your home, you relinquish Luv'um & Leave'um Pet Sitters, Inc. from liability for damage to your home and injury to or neglect of your pet(s). There is too much liability involved and our insurance will not cover us or you.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel services for any reason please give us 24 hours notice if possible. This will allow openings for other clients to schedule (pet sitters can only visit a certain number of homes per day based on whether the pet is a cat or dog, inside or outside). If you fail to cancel and the sitter makes the scheduled visit to your home you will be charged the full amount for the visit.

Appointments are NOT scheduled "tentatively". They are set until we hear otherwise from the client.
